Tesla’s GUI and Autopilot system (Initial Research Path)

 Together with my partner, Krish, we have decided on Tesla’s futuristic auto-pilot system and GUI. When we were tasked with the assignment, the first thing that came to mind for me was the Tesla Cybertruck as I was really interested in the features and functions of the vehicle when I first rode it in 2022. However upon further research, I found that Tesla vehicles generally use the same GUI and system features as monthly updates are dispatched to the vehicles much like how smart phone updates work.

1. We first utilised ChatGPT (GAI) and prompted it to give us more details about Tesla’s GUI and autopilot’s key features and functions as both of them work hand in hand to enhance the driving experience for the drivers. We did this with prompts such as “ Give me a full rundown of Tesla’s autopilots functions and features” and “How do the features and functions differ when compared to other competing companies in the market?”

2. We also went in depth and compared all the key features and functions of the Tesla to other competing companies in the market by using the google search engine where I found 3 articles how Tesla’s FSD compares to other Autopilot vehicles in the market such as BYD.

3. We then moved on to the safety aspects of the vehicle by using the google search engine to look at the most recent and updated version of Tesla’s FSD and compared it to how it was when the Tesla vehicle was first introduced and how much their technology has changed over the years.

4. Finally, we will move on to the summary of the features and functions of Tesla's GUI and autopilot system

Life of an engineering student

 After going through the six quotes provided, I felt like the one by Akbar R Khan really resonated with me as I’m currently a student as well. To start off, it is indeed harder for us students to be taken seriously as we have little to no work experience at all as we mainly focus on simpler and more isolated projects which do not have the same complexities as an actual project in an engineering company.
